ASTM A182 F53 Weld Neck Flanges Raise face ASEM B16.5 Super Duplex 2507 (UNS S32750)
We are a professional manufacturer and exporter of ASTM A182 F53 Weld Neck Flanges Raise face,A182 F53 WNRF flanges in China.
ASTM A182 F53 is a super duplex stainless steel grade that is highly resistant to corrosion, particularly in environments containing chloride ions.A182 F53 F53 has excellent resistance to pitting and crevice corrosion resistance compared with the ordinary austenitic or duplex types. Due to this F53 stainless steel is used primarily in highly corrosive conditions.
Super duplex stainless steel ,Known as SDSS, A182 F53 is one of the most common and popular grade of super duplex stainless steel

S32750 is a super duplex stainless steel supplied in the solution annealed condition. As a super duplex stainless steel, it combines the desirable aspects of both austenitic and ferritic grades. The higher chromium, molybdenum and nitrogen contents result in a Pitting Resistance Equivalent number (PREN) of >41, providing pitting and crevice corrosion resistance superior to austenitic and duplex stainless steels in almost all corrosive media, and a Critical Pitting Temperature exceeding 50°C.

Benefits of ASTM A182 F53 (UNS S32750) Flanges
1. Excellent Corrosion Resistance
-
Outstanding resistance to pitting, crevice corrosion, and chloride stress corrosion cracking (SCC).
-
Performs exceptionally well in chloride-rich and aggressive chemical environments.
-
Complies with NACE MR0175 / ISO 15156 for sour service.
2. High Strength
-
Yield strength is twice that of austenitic stainless steels (e.g., 316L or 304L).
-
Allows for thinner wall thickness, reducing flange and system weight without compromising performance.
3. Excellent Toughness
-
Maintains impact toughness even at sub-zero temperatures (e.g., down to -46°C).
-
Suitable for cryogenic and arctic applications.
4. Superior Mechanical Performance
-
High tensile and yield strength (≥750 MPa / ≥550 MPa).
-
Excellent fatigue and erosion resistance, ideal for high-pressure systems and flow turbulence zones.
5. Cost Efficiency in Long-Term Use
-
Though initial cost is higher than standard stainless steel, lower maintenance, longer service life, and fewer replacements make F53 more economical over time.
-
Reduced downtime and repairs in corrosive systems.
6. Versatile Applications
-
Used in:
-
Offshore oil & gas (subsea pipelines, risers, topsides)
-
Desalination plants
-
Power generation
-
Petrochemical and chemical processing
-
Pulp and paper industry
-
7. Good Weldability
-
Can be welded using standard techniques (e.g., GTAW, SMAW), provided heat input and interpass temperature are properly controlled.
8. Compliance & Standards
-
Meets ASTM A182 for forgings, ASME B16.5/B16.47 flange dimensions, and pressure class requirements.
-
Available with TPI approval (TUV, BV, Lloyd’s, SGS).
