Chrome moly flanges offer a level of chromium not quite reaching the levels of common stainless steels like 304 and 316, but more so than typical A105. In comparison to carbon steel, the higher levels of chromium provide a superior hardness and overall mechanical integrity, whereas the higher molybdenum content is useful in resisting oxidation and corrosion.
Weld Neck or Welding Neck (WN) flange includes a long tapered hub that aid in reinforcement and provide temperature / pressure resistance. Bored to match the inside diameter of the mating pipe or fitting, these flanges are directly welded to the end of the pipe.

ASTM A182 F12, also known as UNS K11564, is a low alloy steel primarily composed of iron, with additions of chromium (Cr), molybdenum (Mo), and other elements to enhance its properties for high-temperature service.
Material: ASTM A182 Grade F12 (2¼% Cr – 1% Mo alloy steel) offers excellent strength, oxidation resistance, and creep resistance at elevated temperatures, making it ideal for boiler, heat exchanger, and steam pipeline service.
