ASTM A815 & ASME SA815

ASTM A815 is the standard specification for wrought ferritic, ferritic/austenitic (duplex), and martensitic stainless steel piping fittings intended for pressure and corrosive service.

ASME SA815 is the ASME-adopted equivalent of ASTM A815 and is commonly specified for projects designed in accordance with the ASME Boiler and Pressure Vessel Code (BPVC).

Both standards are technically equivalent in material and performance requirements.

Scope of ASTM A815 / ASME SA815

This specification applies to wrought stainless steel fittings, including butt-welding and other pressure piping fittings, manufactured from:

  • Ferritic/Austenitic (Duplex) Stainless Steel
