Hastelloy C-276 has a excellent resistance to localized corrosion, stress corrosion cracking, oxidizing and reducing media, which is suit for a wide variety of chemical process environments, including ferric and cupric chlorides, hot contaminated media (organic and inorganic), formic and acetic acids, seawater and brine solutions. Meanwhile, Hastelloy C276 is the few kinds of material that can withstand the corrosive effects of wet chlorine gas, hypochlorite and chlorine dioxide.
Applications:
ASTM B564 Hastelloy C276 is applied in these field, like Chemical processing, waste treatment, pollution control, pulp and paper production, and marine engineering, etc.. C-276 is widely used in the chemical field and petrifaction field, such as the element of chloride organic and catalyzes system. This Alloy is especially suit for high temperature environment, impure inorganic acid and organic acid (such as formic acid and acetic acid), sea-water corrosion environment.
