ASTM B466 C70600 Copper Nickel Seamless Pipe | CuNi 90/10 DIN 86019 Pipe
ASTM B466 C70600 Copper Nickel Pipes, also known as CuNi 90/10 pipes, are high-performance copper-nickel alloy pipes designed for seawater, marine, offshore, and industrial cooling systems.
Manufactured from a 90% copper and 10% nickel alloy with iron and manganese additions, UNS C70600 copper nickel pipes offer outstanding resistance to:
-
Seawater corrosion
-
Erosion and impingement attack
-
Biofouling
-
Chloride stress corrosion
Because of these properties, CuNi 90/10 seamless pipes are widely used in shipbuilding, offshore oil & gas, desalination plants, power stations, and marine heat exchangers.

ASME-SB-466 ASTM B466 UNS C70600 Copper Nickel Seamless Pipes
This specification covers the requirements for seamless UNS C70400, C70600, C71000, C71500, C71520, and C72200 copper-nickel pipes and tubes in straight lengths suitable for engineering applications. UNS C70620 and C71520 copper alloys are intended for products that are to be welded subsequently. Each product should be manufactured from cast billets by hot extrusion or piercing and then subjected to cold working and annealing. The standard tempers for the products in this specification are soft annealed (O60), light drawn (H55), hard drawn (H80), and hard drawn and end annealed (HE80). Pipe and tube tensile properties, Rockwell hardness, and test performance should conform to the values specified herein. Performance requirements include those from expansion, flattening, and eddy Current tests.
