ASTM A106 PIPE, GRADE-B A106 COLD DRAWN SEAMLESS PIPES, A106 GR.B SEAMLESS LINE PIPES, ASME SA / ASTM A106 GR.B SEAMLESS CARBON STEEL PIPES AND TUBES STOCKIEST MANUFACTURER & EXPORTER
GR.B ASME SA 106 HIGH TEMPERATURE SEAMLESS PIPE DEALER, ASTM A106 CARBON STEEL GRADE B TUBING, A106 SEAMLESS PRESSURE PIPE, ASTM A106 CARBON STEEL SEAMLESS RECTANGULAR PIPE & TUBE MANUFACTURER & SUPPLIERS.
For sour service applications, A106 Gr.B SMLS pipes are manufactured and controlled to meet NACE MR0175 / ISO 15156 requirements to ensure resistance against sulfide stress cracking (SSC) in H₂S environments.
These ASME SA 106 Carbon Steel Grade B Tubes are thoroughly examined on numerous quality stages before final dispatch. Clients can avail from us high quality of ASME SA 106 Grade B Carbon Steel Pipes which is manufactured in our advanced manufacturing unit. We are as well engaged in trading and delivering superior quality of ASTM A106 Grade B Carbon Steel Pipes.
SOUR SERVICE:
Refers to service conditions containing hydrogen sulfide (H₂S) — typically found in oil & gas production environments. “Sour” means the presence of H₂S, which can cause sulfide stress cracking (SSC), hydrogen embrittlement, and corrosion.
NACE MR0175 (ISO 15156):
This is the international standard for materials used in H₂S-containing environments in oil and gas production.
-
It specifies requirements and material limits (chemical composition, hardness, heat treatment, microstructure) to ensure resistance to SSC and other corrosion mechanisms.

Typical Requirement of ASTM A106 grade B pipes for Sour Service (H₂S) Requirements
To qualify as Sour Service pipe, additional conditions must be met:
-
Hardness controlled below NACE MR0175 limits.
- sulfur and phosphorus content are usually kept at the lower end of the range to improve SSC resistance.
-
Heat treatment: normalized or normalized + tempered.
-
Certified to NACE MR0175 / ISO 15156.
HIC Testing (Hydrogen Induced Cracking)
For critical sour service applications, pipes can be supplied with HIC (Hydrogen Induced Cracking) testing in accordance with:
-
NACE TM0284
-
NACE MR0175 / ISO 15156
HIC Test Conditions:
-
Test Solution: NACE Solution A (5% NaCl + 0.5% Acetic Acid)
-
Saturated with H₂S gas
-
Exposure Duration: 96 hours (or as specified)
Acceptance Criteria:
-
CLR (Crack Length Ratio) ≤ 15%
-
CTR (Crack Thickness Ratio) ≤ 5%
-
CSR (Crack Sensitivity Ratio) ≤ 2%
(Values adjustable per project requirement)
