ASTM A240 316L,Stainless Steel Plate,ASTM A240 316L Plate,SA240 316L Strip,ASTM A240 316L Sheet,SA240 316L Plate
ASTM A240 TP316L Plate for pressure vessel/ASTM A240 316L Plate is mainly used for the field which has a high request for corrosion resistance,Like pressure vessel.
ASTM A240 316L is part of the austenitic family of stainless steel and is the most widely used varieties of stainless plate. 316 grades contain a higher level of Nickel than 304 giving it an improved corrosion resistance over 304 grades. 316/316L plate is a good option for marine applications due to a good atmospheric corrosion resistance. 316L is a low carbon modification to 316 grade.
A240 316L stainless steel plate is the standard molybdenum-bearing grade of stainless steel plate. The molybdenum gives 316 stainless steel plate better overall corrosion resistant properties than grade 304 stainless steel plate. It has particularly higher resistance to pitting and crevice corrosion in chloride environments. 316 stainless steel plate has excellent forming and welding characteristics. It is readily brake or roll formed into a variety of parts for applications in the industrial, architectural, and transportation fields. Grade 316 stainless steel plate also has outstanding welding characteristics. Grade 316L stainless steel plate is the low carbon version of 316 stainless steel plate and is extensively used in heavy gauge welded components.
A240 316L plate has many applications, can be used to make the welded pipe, fittings, and heat exchanger shells, tanks etc.
