Standard Specification for Seamless, Welded, and Heavily Cold Worked Austenitic Stainless Steel Pipes

0Cr18Ni12Mo2Ti, TP 316Ti or UNS S31635 or 1.4571, This is one of the family of 17%Cr12-13%Ni steels containing Mo of 2,0-2,4% stabilized with Ti which minimizes chromium carbide precipitation and improves resistance to intergranular corrosion. In the damp industrial or coastal atmospheres of Europe, they perform better than TP 304/304L and ferritic grades. In low temperature seawater they offer limited resistance to pitting but are susceptible to crevice attack. 

The corrosion resistance properties of grade 316 and Stainless Steel 316ti Seamless Pipe are similar. Although due to the addition of titanium in its alloy 316TI offers better weldability and exhibits excellent performance in elevated temperatures.

  1. Composition: A312 TP316Ti pipes are made from stainless steel alloy TP316Ti, which contains titanium as a stabilizing element. This titanium addition improves the pipes’ resistance to corrosion, especially in environments containing chlorides, such as marine and chemical processing applications.
  2. Corrosion Resistance: The titanium stabilization in A312 TP316Ti pipes enhances their resistance to intergranular corrosion and pitting, making them suitable for use in corrosive environments. They are commonly used in industries such as oil and gas, chemical processing, and pharmaceuticals.
  3. High-Temperature Strength: A312 TP316Ti pipes exhibit excellent strength and stability at elevated temperatures, making them suitable for high-temperature applications such as heat exchangers, boiler tubes, and exhaust systems. The titanium addition also helps prevent sensitization and intergranular corrosion at high temperatures.
