ASTM A790 UNS S32750 Super Duplex Stainless Steel Pipe ASTM A790 UNS S32750 Super Duplex Stainless Steel Tube
We are a professional supplier and exporter of ASTM A790 UNS S32750 Super duplex stainless steel pipes in China.
ASTM A790 UNS S32750 is a Super duplex stainless steel with 25% chromium, 4% molybdenum, and 7% nickel material for seamless and welded pipes in duplex stainless steel alloy for general corrosive service, with particular emphasis on resistance to stress corrosion cracking (SCC) , designed for demanding applications which require exceptional strength and corrosion resistance, such as chemical process, petrochemical, and seawater equipment. The steel has excellent resistance to chloride stress corrosion cracking, high thermal conductivity, and a low coefficient of thermal expansion.

ASTM A790 specification
The specification covers seamless and straight-seam welded ferritic/austenitic steel pipe for general corrosive service, with particular emphasis on resistance to stress corrosion cracking. The pipe shall be made by the seamless or an automatic welding process, with no addition of filler metal in the welding operation. Heat analysis shall be made to determine the percentages of the elements specified. Tension tests, hardening tests, flattening tests, hydrostatic tests and nondestructive electric tests shall be made to conform to the specified requirements.
S32750 Stainless Steel have enhanced pitting and crevice corrosion resistance when compared with 300-series austenitic stainless steel or conventional duplex alloys. This can be attributed to the enhanced levels of chromium, molybdenum and nitrogen found in these materials. Alloy 2507 is the most common “super” duplex grade.
Usage of Duplex 2507 S32750 Stainless Steel should be limited to applications below 6000 F (3160 C). Extended elevated temperature exposure can reduce both the toughness and corrosion resistance of alloy 2507.The high chromium, molybdenum, and nitrogen levels provide excellent resistance to pitting, crevice, and general corrosion.the duplex structure provides 2507 with exceptional resistance to chloride stress corrosion cracking.
UNS S32750 Stainless Steel possesses excellent mechanical properties. Often a light gauge of S32750 Stainless Steel can be used to achieve the same design strength of a thicker nickel alloy. The resulting saving in weight can reduce the overall cost of fabrication.
