ASTM A928 UNS S32750 EFW pipe,SAF 2507 UNS S32750 Stainless Steel Welded Pipe

Super Duplex Stainless Steel Electric Fusion Welded Pipe

High-Strength EFW Pipes for Offshore, Seawater & High-Pressure Service

ASTM A928 UNS S32750 EFW pipes are super duplex stainless steel electric fusion welded pipes designed for corrosive, high-pressure, and high-strength applications. Manufactured in accordance with ASTM A928, UNS S32750 EFW pipes offer exceptional resistance to pitting, crevice corrosion, chloride stress corrosion cracking, and seawater corrosion, combined with very high mechanical strength.

S32750 super duplex EFW pipes are widely used in offshore oil & gas platforms, subsea pipelines, desalination plants, chemical processing units, and marine systems, where reliability and long service life are critical.

What Is ASTM A928?

ASTM A928 is the standard specification for electric fusion welded (EFW) austenitic and duplex stainless steel pipe intended for corrosive and high-temperature service.
The standard covers:

  • Duplex and super duplex stainless steel EFW pipes

  • Large-diameter and heavy-wall welded pipe

  • Requirements for chemical composition, mechanical properties, heat treatment, and testing

ASTM A928 Duplex Stainless Steel EFW Pipe specification covers standard requirements for ferritic/austenitic (duplex) stainless steel pipe that is electric fusion welded with addition of filler metal suitable for corrosive service. Heat treatment shall be performed after welding and in accordance with specified temperature and quench conditions.

Five classes of pipe are covered as follows:
Class 1—Pipe shall be double welded by processes using filler metal in all passes and shall be radiographed completely.
Class 2—Pipe shall be double welded by processes using filler metal in all passes. No radiograph is required.
Class 3—Pipe shall be single welded by processes using filler metal in all passes and shall be radiographed completely.
Class 4—Same as Class 3, except that the weld pass exposed to the inside pipe surface is permitted to be made without the addition of filler metal (see 6.2.2.1 and 6.2.2.2).
Class 5—Pipe shall be double welded by processes using filler metal in all passes and shall be spot radiographed.

Material Grade: UNS S32750 (Super Duplex Stainless Steel)

UNS S32750 is a super duplex stainless steel with a balanced ferrite–austenite structure and a PREN value of approximately 40–42, offering superior corrosion resistance compared to duplex grades such as S32205.
