Is ASTM B221 Aluminum Tube Suitable for Pressure Piping?
ASTM B221 tube is primarily intended for general-purpose extruded applications and should not automatically be specified for pressure-carrying piping.
For seamless aluminum pipe and tube used in fluid-carrying pressure applications, standards such as ASTM B210/B210M or ASTM B241/B241M may be more appropriate depending on the product form.
