ASTM B467 ASME SB467 UNS C70600 Welded Copper Nickel Pipe

90/10 Cu-Ni Alloy Pipe Corrosion-Resistant Copper Nickel Pipes for Marine, Offshore & Heat Exchanger Applications

ASTM B467 / ASME SB467 UNS C70600 welded copper nickel pipes are manufactured from 90/10 copper-nickel alloy, offering excellent resistance to seawater corrosion, biofouling, erosion, and chloride attack. Produced in accordance with ASTM B467 and ASME SB467, these welded Cu-Ni pipes provide reliable performance, long service life, and low maintenance in marine and seawater systems.

UNS C70600 welded pipes are widely used in shipbuilding, offshore platforms, desalination plants, power stations, and heat exchanger systems.

What Is ASTM B467 / ASME SB467?

ASTM B467 (ASME as SB467) is the standard specification for welded copper-nickel alloy pipe intended for general engineering, pressure, and corrosive service.
The standard defines requirements for:

  • Chemical composition

  • Mechanical properties

  • Manufacturing process

  • Heat treatment

  • Dimensional tolerances

  • Testing and inspection

ASTM B467 pipes are commonly specified for marine and heat exchanger applications involving seawater.

Material Grade: UNS C70600 (CuNi 90/10)

UNS C70600 is a 90% copper – 10% nickel alloy, sometimes referred to as CuNi 90/10, offering superior resistance to seawater corrosion compared to carbon steel and stainless steel in marine environments.
