Inconel 600 Flange,Alloy 600 Flange (UNS designation N06600) is a nickel-chromium alloy designed for use in applications from cryogenic to elevated temperatures in the range of 2000 °F (1093 °C). Alloy 600 is non-magnetic and readily weldable.

The ASTM B564 UNS N06600 alloy is used in a variety of corrosion resisting applications. The high nickel content of Alloy 600 provides a level of resistance to reducing environments, while the chromium content of the material provides resistance to weaker oxidizing environments. the material provides exceptional resistance to chloride-ion stress-corrosion cracking. The high nickel content of Alloy 600 provides good resistance to moderate levels of reducing conditions. The nickel content of the alloy renders the alloy extremely resistant to chloride-ion stress corrosion cracking. Alloy 600 is one alloy used in solutions of magnesium chloride. Similarly, the chromium content of Alloy 600 is an improvement over Alloy 200 (commercially pure nickel). In strong oxidizing solutions, like hot, concentrated nitric acid, Alloy 600 has poor resistance. Alloy 600, Inconel 600 Flange is relatively unattacked by the majority of neutral and alkaline salt solutions.It is used in some caustic environments. Alloy 600,  Inconel 600 Flange  resists steam and mixtures of steam, air, and carbon dioxide.

UNS N06600 (Inconel 600) Characteristic

  1. Good corrosion resistance property for the reduction, oxidation, Nitric and other media.
  2. Good stress corrosion cracking resistance property in both room temperature and high temperature.
  3. Good corrosion resistance of the dry chlorine and chlorine

UNS N06600 (Inconel 600) Corrosion resistance:

  • UNS N06600 (Inconel 600) have corrosion resistance to many kinds of corrosive media. Chromium content made it with better corrosion resistance than Nickel 99.2 (alloy200) and Nickel 99.2 ( alloy201,low carbon) in the oxidize environment. Meantime, high Nickel content make this alloy with good corrosion resistance in the reduction condition and alkaline solution, and also effective avoid chlorine-iron stress corrosion cracking. Inconel600 have good corrosion resistance in the acid, acetic acid, formic acid, stearic acid and other organic acid, with medium corrosion resistance in the inorganic acid. The alloy with excellent corrosion resistance in the first and the second recycling use of the high purity water in the nuclear reactor.Especially excellent corrosion resistance to dry chlorine and chlorine hydride applied up to 650 ℃. When nder the high temperature, annealing and state solution alloy have good antioxidant off and high-intensity in the air, Inconel600 can resist the ammonia, nitriding and carburizing atmosphere, but at the turn of the changes in redox conditions, it will be corrosion by parts of oxidation media.( such as green death liquid)
