AWWA C213 FBE Fusion Bonded Epoxy Coated Pipe fittings,FBE Coated A860 WPHY42 Pipe fittings,Elbow,Tee,reducer

We can supply the FBE (Fusion Bonded Epoxy) coated Pipe fittings  and Fusion Bonded Epoxy coated  Steel Pipe according to AWWA C213 standard. FBE is a high performance anti-corrosion coating that provides excellent protection for steel material pipelines .

Fusion bonded epoxy coating, also known as fusion-bond epoxy powder coating and commonly referred to as FBE coating, is an epoxy-based powder coating that is widely used to protect steel pipe used in pipeline construction, concrete reinforcing bars and on a wide variety of piping connections, valves etc. from corrosion.

We also supply the FEB coated steel pipes,

Fusion bonded epoxy (FBE) coated steel pipes are used for prevent steel pipes from corrosion and harmful chemicals. These are thin coatings of epoxy-resin powder materials formed in a film and applied on pipes by specialised coating facilities by electrostatic spraying. These FBE coated steel pipes can be used in temperatures up to 85oC in dry conditions.

We can apply the FBE coating according to the followed related stadard :  CSA Z245.20 , AWWA C 213 , AS3862:2002, GAZ de France R 09 ,

AWWA C 213

This standard describes the material, application, and testing requirements for fusion-bonded epoxy coatings and linings for steel water pipe, special sections, welded joints, connections, and fittings for steel water pipelines installed underground or underwater. Fusion-bonded epoxy coatings are heat-activated, chemically cured systems. This standard provides the minimum requirements for product.

The following lining performance testing shall be done according to Sec. 4.4.3.7 of AWWA C213:

Thermal analysis (DSC)
Permanent train (bendability)
Water Soak
Impact

The codes and Standards for FBE Coatings are AWWA C213, and API RP 5L7.

AWWA C213 Standard for Fusion Bonded Epoxy Coating for the Interior and Exterior of Steel Water Pipelines

These standards describe the material and application for shop and field-applied, liquid-epoxy interior linings and exterior coatings and linings used in the water-supply industry for steel water pipelines installed underground or underwater, under normal construction conditions.

API RP 5L7 Recommended Practices for Unprimed Internal Fusion Bonded Epoxy Coating of Line Pipe

This Recommended Practice provides for UNPRIMED INTERNAL FUSION BONDED EPOXY COATING OF LINE PIPE for use in transportation pipelines in the petroleum industry.

Fusion Bonded Epoxy (FBE) coating protects pipe surfaces against corrosion. Double or triple layers of FBE may even increase the resistance to friction and abrasion. FBE coating is also used as the primer layer in 3-layer PE/PP coating systems.

Electrostatic epoxy powder is sprayed onto a pipe at a temperature typically around 220 – 235°C. On reaching the hot pipe surface, the epoxy powder melts and forms a uniform layer of epoxy coating on the pipe.

An internal FBE coating is used to protect the inner surfaces of steel pipes from the influence of corrosion and light mechanical impacts and it provides excellent resistance to cathodic disbondment.

The internal Fusion Bonded Epoxy (FBE) system is based on an epoxy powder spray system, mounted on a lance. The lance moves through the pipe while the epoxy powder is sprayed onto the internal pipe surface. The pipe must be heated so that the epoxy powder melts onto the pipe. After FBE application, the layer requires curing.
