This European Standard (EN 10219-1:2006) has been prepared by Technical Committee ECISS/TC 10 “Structural steels – Grades and qualities”, the secretariat of which is held by NEN.
This European Standard shall be given the status of a national standard, either by publication of an identical text or  by endorsement, at the latest by October 2006, and conflicting national standards shall be withdrawn at the latest by October 2006.
This European Standard supersedes EN 10219-1:1997.

Inspection and Testing

EN 10219 is subject to tensile testing in accordance with EN 10002-1, charpy impact test in accordance with EN 10045-1.

The tolerances on dimensions are established in accordance with EN 10219-1&2
