Bull plug is a threaded nipple with a rounded, closed end ,which is used to stop up a hole or close off the end of a line or a solid plug used as an isolation device in piping systems, conduits or wellbore tubulars.
Bull Plugs provide a means of draining a line during maintenance operations. They also dead end a line blocking for further development. Bull Plugs are manufactured in accordance with MSS-SP-95, from A105 bar stock. Nominal Pipe Sizes range from 1/8″ through 4″. Available in Standard S/40, Extra Heavy S/80, Schedule 160, Double extra Heavy or solid. End finish available, thread, beveled, square cut (for socket weld) or grooved. Threaded ends per ASME B1.20.1. Beveled ends per ASME B16.25. All dimensions are in inches and weights based on carbon steel. All material purchased fully traceable to the mill source through our MTR reports, available any time by request.
