Heat Treatment Requirements

ASTM A335 P5 seamless pipes shall be supplied in one of the following conditions, as specified in the purchase order:

  • Annealed, or

  • Normalized and Tempered (N&T)

Proper heat treatment ensures consistent mechanical performance and reliable service at elevated temperatures.

Hardness Limit

  • Maximum hardness: 235 HB

Testing & Inspection

ASTM A335 P5 pipes are supplied with complete inspection and testing in accordance with ASTM standards:

  • Chemical composition analysis

  • Tensile test

  • Flattening test

  • Hydrostatic test or Eddy current test

  • Dimensional inspection per ASTM A999

All products are supplied with EN 10204 3.1 Mill Test Certificate.
