ASTM A182 F11 Weld neck Flange ASME B16.5 WNRF WNRTJ

We are a professional manufacturer of steel forged chome moly steel A182 F11 flange in China,A182 F11 weld neck flange,ASME B16.5/ANSI B16.5 , Chrome Moly Alloy Steel Flange,A182 F11 Cl2 Flange,

As an experienced A182 F11 flange manufacturer in China,we produce high quality A182 F11 forged flanges.

ASTM A182 F11 Chrome moly alloy flanges offer improved levels of chromiumand molybdenum. The added chromium helps increase the steel’s hardenability and corrosion resistance, whereas the increased molybdenum helps bolster itstoughness and corrosion resistance.

ASTM A182 F11 flanges are extremely ductile, strong and tough and easy to weld and offer oxidation and scaling resistance.which matches with ASTM A335  Gr P11 alloy steel pipes ,A234 WP11 Pipe fittings

ASTM A182 F11

also known as  (13CrMo4-5) 1 1/4 Chrome 1/2 Mo Flanges ,1.25 chrome 0.5 moly ,which is a chromium-molybdenum based low alloy-steel grade. It is characterized by 1 to 1.5% chromium – an average of 1%, hence the numerical nomenclature. All of our material is supplied in F11 Class 2 (CL 2), although we can also supply Class 1 or Class 3 upon request.

In some cases,A182 F11  Flange also can be used as an equivalent grade to 16Mo3 Flange

What is ASTM A182 F11 Material?

ASTM A182 F11 is a Chrome-Moly alloy steel (Cr-Mo), primarily used for high-temperature service. It contains chromium (1.00–1.50%) and molybdenum (0.44–0.65%) for improved corrosion resistance and strength at elevated temperatures. F11 is commonly used in pressure vessels, boilers, and heat exchangers.

Heat treatment of ASTM A182/A182M  F11

The starting material of the ASTM A182 Gr. F11 Cl. 2 flange shall be low-alloy ferritic steels made by the open-hearth, electric-furnace, or basic-oxygen process with the option of separate degassing and refining processes in each case. The material shall be forged as close as practicable to the specified flange shape and size. After hot forging, the flange sahll be cooled to a temperature below 538°C [1000°F] prior to heat treating. ASME B16.5 or ASME B16.47 flanges made of ASTM A182 Gr. F11 Cl. 2 steels shall be furnished in normalizing and tempering condition only. The minimum austenitizing temperature is 900°C [1650°F]. The normalizing requires air cooling, which is followed by tempering with minimum tempering temperature of 620°C [1150°F].

ASTM A182 F11 — Cl 1, Cl 2, and Cl 3 comparison

There 3 classes in ASTM A182 F11 grade.they have the same chemical compostion.

The main differences between Class 1, Class 2, and Class 3 are in  their heat treatment, mechanical properties, and minimum strength requirements:

Heat Treatment of ASTM 182 F11 WN Flanges

✅ A182 F11 Class 1: normalizing (900°C–940°C or 1650°F–1720°F) + tempering (at minimum 650°C or 1200°F)
✅ A182 F11 Class 2: normalizing (900°C–940°C), liquid quenching (typically in water or oil), then tempering (at minimum 650°C or 1200°F)
✅ A182 F11 Class 3: liquid quenching (typically in water or oil) following normalizing, then tempering (at minimum 650°C or 1200°F) — yielding higher strength
