ASME SB 163 UNS N08800 Tube Incoloy 800 Seamless Tube

Incoloy 800 Seamless Tube for Heat Exchangers & High-Temperature Service

ASME SB 163 UNS N08800 seamless tubes, commonly known as Incoloy 800 seamless tubes, are nickel-iron-chromium alloy tubes designed for heat exchangers, condensers, and high-temperature pressure systems. With excellent resistance to oxidation, carburization, and thermal fatigue, Incoloy 800 tubing is widely used in power generation, petrochemical processing, furnace equipment, and heat treatment industries.

What Is ASME SB 163?

ASME SB 163 is the ASME-adopted version of ASTM B163, covering seamless nickel and nickel alloy tubes for heat exchangers and condensers.
It specifies requirements for:

  • Chemical composition

  • Mechanical properties

  • Manufacturing process

  • Heat treatment condition

  • Dimensional tolerances

  • Testing and inspection

SB 163 is commonly required for ASME pressure vessel and boiler projects.

Material Grade: UNS N08800 (Incoloy® 800)

UNS N08800, known as Incoloy 800, is a solid-solution–strengthened nickel alloy with controlled carbon, aluminum, and titanium content to provide excellent creep resistance and microstructural stability at elevated temperatures.

We are the ASME SB 163 UNS N08800 Pipes,Incoloy 800 Seamless Tube supplier and exporter in China.

Size Range & Specifications

  • Outside Diameter: 6.35 mm – 114.3 mm (1/4″ – 4-1/2″)

  • Wall Thickness: 0.5 mm – 9.65 mm

  • Length: Random or fixed length

Alloy 800 (UNS N08800), Alloy 800H (UNS N08810) and Alloy 800AT (UNS N08811) are nickeliron-chromium alloys designed to resist oxidation and carburization at elevated temperatures through 1900 °F. The nickel content, 32 %, makes the alloys highly resistant both to chloride stress corrosion cracking and to embrittlement from precipitation of sigma phase. The general corrosion resistance is excellent. In the solution annealed condition, Alloys 800H and 800AT have superior creep and stress rupture properties. All three versions of the basic Alloy 800 have been approved as materials of construction under ASME Boiler and Pressure Valve Code, Section I-Power Boilers, Section III-Nuclear Vessels, and Section VIII-Unfired Pressure Vessels. Alloys 800, Alloy 800H and Alloy 800AT are identical except for the higher level of carbon (0.05 to 0.1 %) in Alloy 800H, and the addition of up to 1 % aluminum + titanium in Alloy 800AT. The Alloy 800 is normally used in this service at temperatures to approximately 1100 °F (593 °C). Alloy 800H and Alloy 800AT are normally used above approximately 1100 °F (593 °C) where resistance to creep and rupture is required.

Application:

1>.Industrial Heating Industry radiant tubes, return bends, muffles, retorts and furnace fixtures.
2>.Petrochemical furnace cracker tubes //// Hydrocarbon Processing Industry catalyst tubing, convection tubing, outlet manifolds and quenching system piping.

3>.Power Generation Industry steam superheating tubing, high temperature heat exchangers.
