Stainless Steel tube Pipe ASTM A213 / ASME SA 213 TP 310S
ASTM A213/A213M-22a Standard Specification for Seamless Ferritic and Austenitic Alloy-Steel Boiler, Superheater, and Heat-Exchanger Tubes
The Tp310S is a high temperature service austenitic stainless steel. It is a highly alloyed material that is used to prevent oxidation and corrosion. This is achieved by the chromium and nickel components in the composition.t is used at temperatures up to 1150°C in continuous service, and 1035°C in intermittent service. Grade 310S is a low carbon version of grade 310.
Stainless Steel 310s Supplier – SUS310, SUS310S, UNS S31008, 1.4840, 104845
SUS310, combining excellent high temperature properties with good ductility and weldability, is designed for high temperature service. It resists oxidation in continuous service at temperatures up to 1150°C provided reducing sulphur gases are not present. It is also used for intermittent service at temperatures up to 1040°C.
SUS310S (UNS S31008) is used when the application environment involves moist corrodents in a temperature range lower than that which is normally considered “high temperature” service. The lower carbon content of 310S does reduce its high temperature strength compared to SUS310.
Applications of Grade 310/310S Stainless Steel
Typical Applications Grade 310/310S is used in fluidised bed combustors, kilns, radiant tubes, tube hangers for petroleum refining and steam boilers, coal gasifier internal components, lead pots, thermowells, refractory anchor bolts, burners and combustion chambers, retorts, muffles, annealing covers, saggers, food processing equipment, cryogenic structures.

A213 TP310S Tubes Seamless Tube Manufacturing Processes
- The tubes shall be made by the seamless process and shall be either hot finished or cold-finished, as specified.
- Heat treatment shall be done separately and in addition to heating for hot forming.
- The ferritic alloy and ferritic stainless steels shall be reheated. austenitic stainless steel tubes shall be furnished in the heat-treated condition.
- Tubes may be individually quenched in water or rapidly cooled by other means.
- Tubes shall be pickled free of scale. When bright annealing is used, pickling is not necessary.
- Complete tests should be conducted conforming to ASTM A213 or ASTM A1016.
