What Is an Aluminum Alloy 5083 Elbow?

The material description should not combine all 5083 tempers as though they were interchangeable.

A pipe fitting formed from 5083-O pipe should not automatically be represented as 5083-H116 or 5083-H321. Likewise, a fitting fabricated from H116 or H321 plate may not retain the original plate properties in every formed or welded area.
