ASME/ANSI B16.5 Class 600 Slip On Raised Face Flange (600 LBS SO Flange)

ASME/ANSI B16.5 Class 600 slip on raised face flanges are widely used in medium to high pressure piping systems where reliable sealing and ease of installation are required. These flanges are designed according to ASME B16.5 standards and are commonly referred to as 600 lbs slip on flanges or Class 600 SO RF flanges.

A slip on flange is installed by sliding it over the pipe and welding both inside and outside of the flange, providing adequate strength and leak resistance. Compared with weld neck flanges, slip on flanges offer easier alignment and lower fabrication cost, making them suitable for a wide range of industrial applications.

The raised face (RF) design improves sealing performance by concentrating gasket pressure on a smaller surface area, ensuring a tight and reliable seal in pressure piping systems.
