DIN 2642 PN10 Pressed Flange,DIN 2642 PN10 loose flange, AISI 304/304L Pressed Flange,AISI 316L Pressed Flange
C&N is a professional manufacturer of DIN 2642 PN10 Pressed Flange,DIN 2642 PN10 loose flange, AISI 304/304L Loose Pressed Flange,AISI 316L Pressed Flange in China.
DIN 2642 is specifically for loose flanges for welding (Slip-On Flanges) according to DIN standard. which are primarily used to connect pipes and valves in piping systems
A pressed flange, differet from a forged or cast flange, is manufactured by pressing or stamping a piece of metal into the desired shape. Pressed flanges are typically used in applications for lower pressure ratings they can be more cost-effective to produce compared to forged or cast flanges.
A pressed flange, also known as a stamped flange or formed flange, is a type of flange that is manufactured through a stamping or pressing process rather than being forged or welded. This method is commonly used for low-pressure applications and is generally more cost-effective than forged flanges.
Loose Pressed flanges are made from plates,by stamping or pressing process and use as lap joint flanges in combination with short collars.Material available AISI 304/304L,AISI316/316L.
Presed flanges Manufacturing Process:
- Stamped or pressed from flat metal sheets or plates.
- The process involves placing the metal sheet in a die and applying pressure to form the desired flange shape.
- Typically, this process does not involve high temperatures like forging, which can make it a more economical method for producing flanges in large quantities.
Advantages of Pressed Flanges
- Lower Cost: Ideal for large-scale projects or applications where pressure and safety requirements are lower.
- Easy Production: The pressing or stamping process is relatively fast, making it a good choice for high-volume production.
- Adequate for Low to Medium Pressure: Suitable for less demanding applications where the flange will not be subjected to high stresses or extreme conditions.
- Ease of Handling: Since pressed flanges are relatively lightweight compared to forged flanges, they are easier to handle and install.
DIN2642 Lap joint flanges
The European standard EN 1092-1/02 has replaced the national standard DIN 2642 in 2007.
New in EN 1092-1 are the pressure level PN 16 for loose plate flanges.
For nominal sizes larger than DN 150, EN standardizes pressure levels PN 10 and PN 16.
From DN 50 to DN 150, the EN refers to the standard series of PN 16 pressure level.DIN2642 Lap joint flanges
For dimensions up to DN 40, the EN refers to the standard series of PN 40 pressure level.
