ASTM A106 Seamless Carbon Steel Pipe Standard Specifications

ASTM A106 Standard Specification A106 Grade A · B · C

ASTM A106 is the standard specification for seamless carbon steel pipe for high-temperature service.
This page provides a technical overview of ASTM A106 pipes and offers a access to download ASTM A106 standard PDF specification for engineering, procurement, and EPC project use.

What is ASTM A106?

ASTM A106 covers seamless carbon steel pipes intended for high-temperature and pressure service, commonly used in:

  • Refineries

  • Power plants

  • Petrochemical facilities

  • Oil & gas pipelines

ASTM A106 Grades review

ASTM A106 includes three grades based on chemical composition and mechanical strength:

  • ASTM A106 Grade A

  • ASTM A106 Grade B (most widely used)

  • ASTM A106 Grade C (higher strength)
