A240 316TI steel Plate overall performance is better than steel 310 and 304 stainless steel, high temperature conditions, when the sulfuric acid concentration of less than 15% and greater than 85%, 316 stainless steel with a wide range of uses. 316TI stainless steel and chloride also has good corrosion performance, it is usually used in the marine environment.
ASTM A240 316Ti stainless steel contains a small amount of titanium. Titanium content is typically only around 0.5%. The titanium atoms stabilise the structure of the 316 at temperatures over 800°C. This prevents carbide precipitation at the grain boundaries and protects ASTM A240 316Ti stainless steel from corrosion. The main advantage of ASTM A240 316Ti stainless steel is that it can be held at higher temperatures for a longer period without sensitisation (precipitation) occurring. ASTM A240 316Ti stainless steel retains physical and mechanical properties similar to standard grades of 316.
ASTM A240 316Ti stainless steel is suitable for household articles (tableware, cabinets, cooking utensils, indoor pipelines, water heaters, boilers and bathtubs in Class 1 and 2), auto parts (windshield wipers,mufflers), medical instruments, architectural decoration, chemicals, chemical industry, food & beverages, agriculture and ship machinery, etc.
316Ti is the addition of titanium into 316 quality stainless steel. If the material is exposed to high temperatures from 550 to 800 ° C for a long time, use 316Ti (1.4571) grade stainless steel. 316Ti stainless steels contain low amounts of titanium. This rate is usually 0.5%. 316Ti grade stainless steels have a longer life time than 304 or 316 stainless steel grades.
